SenseAbilities Pediatric Therapy Clinic: Referral Process



Welcome to SenseAbilities Pediatric Therapy Clinic! We’re excited to help you begin your child’s therapy journey with us. Here’s a simple step-by-step guide to help you receive treatment for your child. We’ve made it as easy as possible to follow—just take it one step at a time!
Step 1: Get a Referral
Insurance typically requires a Referral for therapy.
- Fill out the Request for Referral Form (Click Here) and when you are done, download it.
- Make an appointment with your child’s Primary Care Provider (PCP) to discuss your child’s therapy needs. Bring the form along with you and give it to your PCP.
- Ask your PCP to send their Referral to us by either:
- Faxing it to 478-333-6076 or
- Emailing it to referrals@senseabilities.net
Step 2: Check In with Us (Optional)
After PCP sends us the Referral, follow up with our clinic within 72 hours to confirm we received your child’s Referral. For best results, text us at 478-333-6363.
Step 3: Wait for Our Call
We’ll review your information and contact you within 7 to 10 business days to let you know the next steps!
Step 4: Schedule an Initial Evaluation
Our Referral Coordinator will work with you to schedule an appointment that works for your family and send you our online client registration. Please be prepared to discuss your preferred days and times during the week.
Step 5: Get Ready for the First Visit!
To ensure things run smoothly, be sure to complete the client registration paperwork that is sent to you by our referral coordinator in advance of your appointment.
On the day of your child’s initial evaluation:
- Arrive 15 minutes early to check in.
- Bring your insurance card
- Bring any questions or concerns you may have about your child’s treatment.
Step 6: Begin ongoing Therapy!
Your child’s first treatment session will be scheduled on a regular basis to support their development.
